Adriana Nesbitt, Sports News Staff Photographer, is a 10th grader at Golden Valley High School who is passionate about both athletics and telling stories. She is an active member of three of Golden Valley’s sports programs: volleyball, soccer, and track & field. In track she qualified for CIF in the 4×400 relay, an experience she describes as  challenging but worth the work. She also earned recognition in her other sports, receiving Freshman of the year in track and coaches award in soccer. Currently, she serves as the Floor Captain for her volleyball team. Outside of sports, Adriana is excited to explore her interest in Journalism. She looks forward to using her writing to highlight the accomplishments of student-athletes and share their stories to the Golden Valley community. Writing has always been one of her ways to express herself to others, she enjoys giving stories to people that they can connect with. Adriana hopes to promote female athletes, she talks about how it is unfair to them to not have the same support as the male teams do. Her goal is to share the importance of attending more than just male sports. She says that you can get just as much action if not more when you watch the amazing women play.
