Christopher William N. Ong, CEPAT Section Editor

Christopher William N. Ong is an 18-year-old senior at Golden Valley High School. He is part of the Journalism Team as a writer and section editor for CEPAT. He was given an award by the Social Studies Department and the Math Department of Golden Valley for being their Student of the Month. He likes covering movies and series reviews and talking about his analysis and opinions of them. Ever since he was a child, his pastime was always watching cartoons and movies on the television. He has grown to love the fantasy genre like The Lord of the Rings, the sci-fi genre like Star Wars (he LOVES Star Wars), and the rom-com genre like The Proposal. He also covers a little bit of celebrity news and outbreak news. He is really not up to date with the celebrity drama, but he does research on a few celebrities he finds interesting. After 2020, he has been interested in outbreaks and how they start or how they can be stopped (also he likes zombie movies, so he is infatuated in knowing outbreaks and viruses in movies and in real life).

For Christopher, being a student journalist means that he has a medium to voice his opinions to others. He has always been quite shy, but he has a lot in his mind that he wants to share with people. Being part of the Journalism Team, he has grown to become a confident (still a little shy) writer who is proud to talk about his opinions on certain topics (mostly on movies and shows). Fun Fact: when he was very young, Christopher got into an accident that left him a small scar on his forehead. With the fact he was also wearing glasses already, he was called Harry Potter by his family for a little while, which incidentally introduced him to the Harry Potter franchise. Another Fun Fact: Christopher William is, in fact, his first legal name. His mother gave him the name Christopher from a book she was reading while he was still in the womb, and his uncles added William because all of their first names had William too. William is the name of his grandfather. Only a few people in his life have called him by William, and he wishes it stays that way (he does not like being called William).
