Diane Reyes Apolinar is a freshman at Golden Valley High School and serves as Student Submissions Editor for The Gazette. Living in Southern California her whole life, born and raised Mexican American. Diane loves reading and enjoys playing tennis, and spends way too much time on her phone. Diane has always been passionate about what she believes in and expressing how she feels, she is really passionate about writing concerning topics considered “controversial.” To her, the student newspaper is important for students to be able to express themselves and have the freedom to voice their opinions. This matters to her because she believes that everyone has the right to voice their opinions and practice freedom of speech, she always feels the need to voice what she has to say.
