Lily Gomez, CEPAT News Staff Writer, is a freshman at Golden Valley. She’s a beginner writer, but has experience from being a part of the yearbook. She has always been motivated to try her best in school, and always does just that. Lily also loves watching movies and listening to music in her free time. She’s not picky when it comes to different genres of music and movies, listening or watching anything that seems interesting or is recommended.She has always been interested in keeping up with politics and the news, while being open minded but also standing up for what she believes is right. Lily is passionate about writing about pop culture and controversial topics. To her, voicing your opinion and what you stand for is the most important thing when you need to, whether it be in writing or speaking out loud.  Being a part of the student newspaper means a lot to her because being a part of the newspaper and being a student journalist means you can stand up for what the students want and bring attention to things that are important, in school and in the outside world.
