Natalie Alfaro, Section Editor
Natalie Alfaro, a Junior here at Golden Valley High School, She is the editor of our sports team & has been attending GV since her freshman year. Her passion this year is to take as many good sports photos as possible & publish them. Being a student part of journalism & being part of the newspaper crew means alot to her because she’s never really been part of a team, she did not grow up very fortunate, So her mom or nana never had enough money to enroll her into a real team. She did always want to be a cheerleader or at least be in gymnastics. For a while she wanted to play soccer, she really bounced around from activity to activity for the same reason. She wanted to be part of a team. She loves english, reading & writing are her biggest passions, she loves concerts & work is a big part of her life. She doesn’t have many friends but the ones that she has are straight ride or die! She is neither close to her mom or dad but she is the closest with her grandparents on her dads side! They are her everything. As her parents are separated she grew up in two very different places, speaking two different languages, living two different lives. On one side she is a spanish speaker who loves to sleep all day “dormilona” as her grandparents call her & on the other she speaks english and is up early to get all her stuff done. She is in a family of 5, her eldest brother whom she doesn’t talk to much for he moved away, her oldest sister who also moved away, which makes her the eldest and only girl in her household. Although she is not the best at math, she does excel in writing and it’s her passion.
