Patricija Pujate, CEPAT News Staff Writer, is a senior at Golden Valley High School. She is involved in the thrifting club called the Pre Loved Collective, and used to attend other clubs such as the now disbanded Fables and Films club. She loves driving around in her car, which she proudly named Ophelia. She also really enjoys reading books, whether it’s a heart warming and cozy romance novel or a toe gripping, chair edging, thriller novel. She also really values her friends and family and likes to go places with them even if it means dropping a butt load of money. As a free spirit, she just goes wherever she decides to go and goes where the wind takes her, she adapts easily to whatever bonkers situation may be occurring within the moment. Patricija holds a dual citizenship, as she was not born in the US but in a small country in Europe called Latvia. For her future, she wants to pursue a career as a Psychiatrist, her plan is to attend the University of Helsinki in Finland, and if that fails she wants to be a race car driver since driving is one of her deepest passions. She also deeply wants to get 2 cats and name them Periwinkle and Winston, though she currently does have one, really well fed, orange tabby named Ginger (Gin for short). Patricija is an adventurous chap who will enjoy and take on any challenge that she may face and is ready for anything. Some of the smaller things in life bring Patricija joy and she is happy with her progress and what she has completed. Despite not really liking sports, she does sometimes like to play basketball and wants to try to get into ice skating. Being a student journalist means it gives the freedom of speech to say some things that may be scary to say face to face and is a great way to spread awareness and messages. She finds journalism similar to poetry, which provides great ways of expression and something that can help decompress while also entertaining.
